At Tunstall, our mission to help people live as independently as possible in the place they choose. It’s this drive that, for over 60 years, has allowed us to develop mobile monitoring devices and connected services that help provide safety and peace of mind for those who feel vulnerable or need extra assistance, such as older people and those with long-term health needs.

As of February 2021 we are pleased to announce a key milestone in helping make Tunstall's products and services more accessible.

Tunstall Healthcare devices now available through Personal AlertSA

Tunstall Healthcare is one of two providers selected for the South Australian Government's new 'Personal AlertSA' scheme. Personal AlertSA (PASA) is a Government-funded project that provides eligible people with subsidies for approved personal alert devices and monitoring services.

The Tunstall products available through Personal AlertSA include our latest 4G mobile and in-home personal alert systems. More information on those devices below.

“Our position as an approved supplier to the Personal AlertSA scheme gives South Australians access to the latest technology that Tunstall has to offer, and will help provide them with the confidence to live safely and independently wherever they choose.”

-Lyn Davies, Tunstall APAC Managing Director

We’ve always centred our support system on people and their need to be connected, especially during an emergency. That’s why Tunstall’s technology allows two-way communication, so the people who use them are assured they have someone to talk to when they need it most. If you’re worried about falling, getting locked out of your house, or those late-night noises in your backyard, you can count on Tunstall to be there.

Tunstall Devices Available Through Personal AlertSA

As an approved Personal AlertSA supplier, the following Tunstall products are now available to South Australians under the scheme:

Tunstall's in-home SmartLink Guardian 4G alarm

The Tunstall SmartLink Guardian 4G has been designed to provide clients with the freedom and peace of mind in that, should they need assistance or help, it is available to them 24 hours a day with the simple press of a button.

An intelligent fall pendant which can automatically detect if the wearer has fallen and raise an alarm call for help, via a paired Tunstall medical alarm unit (in this case, the SmartLink Guardian 4G alarm – which is the companion product for this pendant). The pendant is lightweight and discreet, and also provides the wearer with a means of manually calling for help from anywhere in their home 24 hours a day, and cancelled in the event of a false activation.

Tunstall Gem4

The Tunstall Gem4 is a new wearable 4G mPERS device, designed to help the user raise a call for assistance when out and about. It reduces the risk to an individual by quickly connecting them to Tunstall’s 24/7 Customer Care Centre and identifying their location so that assistance can reach them quickly.

These solutions support people’s individual needs and empower them to live independently, both at home and when out and about, all while knowing that help is just a call away. South Australians can now access financial support via rebates for these Tunstall products. See our dedicated Personal AlertSA page or the PASA page on the SA Government's website for more information on how to apply for a PASA subsidy.
